Test method:
|
The test has been conducted in accordance with appendix B
and C of the Australian standards AS 2820.
A test rig provided by ELTRK has been used to do the 10,000
cycles of opening and closing.
Test Result: At the completion of the tests (Appendixes B & C) the following
were observed:
- No fracture or breakage has occurred on any part of the gate,
latch or hinges.
- No permanent deformation has occurred on any part of the gate
components.
- The latch device has not. been released during the test
in accordance with Appendix B AS2820 1993.
- The force required to release the latch was 15 N before and
after the 10,000 cycles. Ref. Section 3.3 (b)
- The gate was capable of closing from any position from resting
on the latching mechanism to fully open. Ref. Sec. 2.9

Conclusion:
|
The latch device as described in this report has passed the test
in accordance with Appendix B & C - AS2820 1993.
